Harlem Nights

This movie,Harlem Nights, was about a group of club owner's, who wanted to have the greatest club in all of new york. But a notorious gangster wants to overun them by destroying their club. This movie was successful, cause of the brilliant work of the director and his vision of the new york times in the 1980s. This movies drama scenes show alot of how life was like back in the day, and how they used to handle situations that might have cost them their lives. this movie consists of action, loyalty, trust, modern life of the 1980s-90s. this movie starts out a Sugar Ray (Richard Pryor) saves the life of a 8 year old boy named Quik (Eddie Murphy) who shot a man that nearly killed Ray.

My opinion on this is that the director tryed to show us what happened in the modern ages of how night clubs were the motive of the night and how gangsters tryed to stop the movement of a ritual.
